Sterling House Launches New Website Featuring Online Program Registration

STRATFORD, CT (March 7, 2019) – Making a long anticipated leap, Sterling House Community Center has launched its new agency web site this week that features online program registration and payments, among many other highlights and additions.

Executive Director Amanda Meeson said this week that the new web site has the potential to benefit thousands of program participants with its user-friendly interface that allows individuals to sign up and pay for programs online and staff to access real-time data to better serve our community.

The Sterling House web site at:  www.sterlinghousecc.org went live on Thursday, March 7, 2019, and represents the first agency web site redesign in more than 10 years.

“The last two years, I watched, first-hand, the incredible history of camp registration where eager families waited in line for hours to sign up for our camp. Years ago, they even slept outside to be here when we opened!” Meeson said. “This new platform will empower our community to register for anything at Sterling House, from anywhere, and at whatever time it suits them.”  Donna Kelly, Office Manager and staff member for the last 19 years, shared “What an exciting day for Sterling House! No more membership cards, less paper, and no lines!”

The new web site utilizes the award-winning SquareSpace design platform, said Marketing & Communications Coordinator Kathleen Carson. “I really wanted the new site to be clean, fresh, and functional. As a Sterling House alum from my childhood, I was motivated to represent what Sterling House always meant to me and what is possible for our future.”

Meeson noted that in addition to the convenience and access for the community, the new technology will also increase staff efficiency.

Summer Day Camp 2019 registrations begin on March 9th, 2019. The SHCC team will add new modules for registration and updates to the site through the spring with a goal of July 1st for all programs and activities to be available online.

Of course, Meeson quipped, “Just because everyone will be able to register and pay for programs online doesn't mean we don't want you to continue to visit us here at the House – after all, this is Your House - Sterling House!”
